You do not have to be an experienced road biker or even a mountain biker to get this post. If you haven't engaged "le Tour de France" you really should consider it. For 23 days every July, one of the most epic races in human history stretches itself across the countryside of France and even slips into northern Spain for a stage or two. This race has so much DEPTH. It's not just 200 amazing athletes fighting for themselves against the clock. It's much more. It's team sport with a team strategy. Even more, it is a sport full of selflessness and selfishness. Some riders exist to position other riders for victory. A select few riders are the true "contenders" who are selected by their teams to try and win the "Maillot Jaune", or Yellow Jersey. To read more about current race standings, check out Versus.com.
